Introducing Room 6 @ PES for 2024!

This is Room 6 at Point England School for 2024!

We are so excited for what this year has planned for us. We are all new to the 678 area, most of us coming from Room 9 and 10, and some of us coming from Team 3.

Our theme this year is ‘Make Kindness Go Viral – Wheoritia Te Atawhai’. This year we will be making sure that we are being kind, sharing it around not only in person, but online.

Some of the events we are looking forward to this year is Year 5 and 6 Camp, Production, Swimming, Manaiakalani Film Festival, PES Sports, Year 6 Camp, and many more events.

Here’s to a great year ahead!

End of the 2023 Season

Room 6 had heaps of fun on our last full day of school. Our teachers planned some fun activities and games, and even printed out certificates that had photos of us from the start of the year to the end. What a fun day!

And with that brings the end to the Room 6 2023 season…

We will miss you all Room 6!

Life Education

This term, Life Education has come to PES. Room 6 had their first session on Wednesday. Our focus at Life Education is about Positive Thinking. We recapped what a growth mindset is – positive thinking towards scenarios, and closed mindset – negative thoughts.

Thank you to Sylvia, Monica and Harold for a fun session.

Artwork: Matariki

This week, Room 6 Literacy has been learning about Matariki. We learnt about each star, and the significance each star holds in. the Māori culture.

Our task was to create a Matariki scene, what we would see in the sky. On our stars are symbols that we think each star represents. Then we glued the stars in the position where they would sit in the sky.

Support Worker Week: Thank you Mr Marsters!

This week is Support Worker Week. We just want to say a huge thank you to our support worker – Mr Marsters!

We appreciate all your hard work, your love, your laughter and your creativity! Thank you for making our class fun, always making jokes and making us happy.

Lots of love, Room 6!

School Lunches

Our school has been getting free lunches for the past two years. We have been really enjoying our lunches this year. Some of the things we’ve had include Fried Rice, Butter Chicken, Chicken/Tuna Rice Balls, Pasta and Chicken Burgers (pictured above). We even love the snacks we get on the side – biscuits, popcorn, corn chips, brownies and fruit. Thank you to our amazing lunch providers for the delicious lunches! We appreciate you making us meals to keep us full and satisfied.
